               in action, 23  April 1917, France.  Formerly 32840, East Surrey Regiment.  Buried Henin
               Communal Cemetery, France, son of Frederic Perry of Headless Cross, husband of Alice May
               Perry of .40 Vine Street, Uxbridge, Middlesex.  Awarded the British War Medal and Victory
               Medal.
               A Harry Perry is remembered on St Luke’s war memorial, Headless Cross
               (On 1911 census Thomas Henry Perry aged 21, Shop Assistant, lived with parents Frederick and Martha and
               siblings at 102 Evesham Road, Headless Cross.)

               Private Dennis Mews, (240555), 1/8  Battalion, Worcestershire Regiment, resided and

               enlisted in Redditch, killed in action, 24  April 1917, Western European Theatre.  Mentioned
               on Thiepval Memorial, Picardie, France.
               Remembered on St Stephen’s war memorial, Redditch.
               On 1911 census Dennis Mews lived with his wife Mary at 5 Izods Yard, Evesham Street, Redditch.

               Private Albert Duffin, (13244), 9  Battalion, Royal Warwickshire Regiment, born in Redditch,

               resided in Headless Cross, enlisted in Worcester, died of wounds, 27  April 1917, Iraq.
               Remembered on St Stephen’s and St George’s war memorials, Redditch.
               (On the 1911 census Albert lived with his parents Henry and Harriet at 58 Albert Street, Redditch.
