               Headless Cross Men Killed – Official news has been received by Mrs Goodall, of
               Sillorth House, Birchfield Road, Headless Cross that her son, Corporal G. M. Goodall,
                                                                              th
               Worcestershire Regiment (T.F.), was killed in action on August 29 .  Corporal Goodall was an
               old scholar of St Luke’s School, Headless Cross, and was for a number of years a member of
               the church choir.  He was for a few years in the Redditch (H) Company, Territorials, and went
               on war service with them in August, 1914.  He was wounded in the chest and left shoulder

               when leading his men in an attack on the 27  ult.  He became unconscious, and died two
               days later.  There are two other sons in the army.
