THE oldest profession in the world is coming to Redditch as the Palace Theatre welcomes a
group of all singing, all dancing whores.
Redditch Operatic Society will be performing the comedy musical The Best Little Whorehouse
In Texas from Tuesday, November 11 to Saturday, November 15 at 7.30pm each night, with
a matinee on Saturday, November 15 at 2.30pm.
Texas has a whorehouse that’s been around for nearly a century.
The folks around town call it The Chicken Ranch because in the good ol’ days, hard-up
patrons of the ranch could pay in poultry rather than cash.
Now, self-proclaimed do-gooder Melvin P Thorpe’s watchdog show has got its eye on the
ranch, and he starts a crusade to close it down.
Even the local sheriff, the senator and the governor of Texas get involved.
Find out whether the ranch can survive the storm in this comedy musical, with tickets
available on 65203.
The performance on Wednesday will be signed to allow people with hearing difficulties to
enjoy it, the first time that one of the local operatic societies has included this service.
