Society all set for spectacular show – Jekyll and Hyde – November
2007
POWER and passion and the battle between good and evil will be brought to life at the
Palace Theatre in what looks set to be a spectacular performance of Jekyll and Hyde the
musical.
Janna Mutton playing Emma Caruw, Kevin
Hirons as Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, and Alison Adams as Lucy Harris.
After its smash-hit Broadway run, Redditch Operatic Society, which celebrates its 57th
birthday this year, is delighted to present the local premiere of the thrilling new musical at
the Palace Theatre from November 13-17.
Jekyll and Hyde tells the classic story of a brilliant doctor whose experiments with human
personality create a murderous counterpart.
A society spokesman said: "This is pure, pulse-pounding theatre with a lush, romantic score
that combines the macabre fun and frights of The Phantom of the Opera with the emotive
power of Les Miserables. This is one show you cannot afford to miss.
"The production costs will exceed £25,000 - a major investment by any standards."
Tickets, costing £11-13 and are available by calling Ann Duffin on 527363.
