Cllr. Alan Mason
Redditch Mayor in 2012
Alan Mason was born on the Smethwich border and -
came to Redditch in 1994. He spent much of his
working life in sales before retiring in 2010. He first Alan Mason
became a Labour councillor in 2004, representing (Source: Redditch Standard)
Abbey Ward and during his year of Mayor, the
Olympic torch came through Redditch on its way to
London.
He received the Mercian Regiment when they came
back from Afghanistan.

Cllr. Wanda King
Redditch Mayor in 2013
During Wanda King's year as Mayor she opened the
new £300,000 sixth form centre at Trinity High
School. The 37th Signal Regiment of the Royal Corp
of Signals based at Moons Moat were given the
Freedom of the Borough on Monday March 10, 2014.
Wanda came to Redditch in the early 1980's from
Buckinghamshire.
