Redditch Man a Prisoner of War – News has been received that Lance Corporal J.

Gregory, of the 2 Royal Warwickshire Regiment and whose home is in Albert Street,
Redditch is a prisoner of war at Gefangenenlager, Altdamm, Germany. Writing to his sister
(Mrs A. C. Gregory, 152 Evesham Road, Headless Cross) he says the Germans are very good
to the men who have been captured.
(On the 1901 census James Gregory lived with his parents William and Ann Gregory and siblings at 125
Evesham Street. By the 1911 census his mother Ann was now a widow and lived at 42 Albert Street, Redditch.)
