following information:-

Alfred Tansley was shot by a sniper’s bullet and killed 8 August 1915 in Gallipoli just 1
month after arriving there. He was born in 1886 in Crabbs Cross to parents Joseph and
Selina Tansley. He married Miriam Mary Ann Sollers in 1907 in Alcester District.
(On 1911 census Alfred Tansley aged 25, Polisher, lived with his wife Miriam and 2 children in The Lane, Crabbs
Cross.
