Cow Fouls Aeroplane – Machine down in field near Redditch – Yesterday afternoon an
aeroplane passed over Redditch, alighting in the Birmingham-road, near the gas works,
owing to some defective part.
The aviator put the matter right, but in starting it was stated that one of the wings caught
the horn of a cow, and caused the aviator to descend again.
Another aviator and plane was telephoned for, and both machines were in the field all night.
The members of the Volunteer Training Corps guarded the ground during the night.
