Boy Scouts’ War Shrine – On Wednesday night a war shrine was unveiled and
dedicated at the meeting room of the Scouts, in Holyoake’s Field. It has been given in
honour of those scouts of the troop who have fallen, and to those who are still with the
colours. The unveiling ceremony was performed by Mrs Bradley, who was introduced by Mr
L. F. Lambert. The Vicar of Redditch (the rev. L. Bradley) gave an appropriate address and
dedicated the shrine. – Mr Lambert made a reference to the good work of Scoutmaster C. T.
White, whom he wished good luck on joining the army next week.
