Tardebigge – Hospital Parade – The Sunday evening service in Tardebigge Church
was attended by the patients and staff from the V.A.D. Hospital and the members of the
Worcester /28 (Bromsgrove) and the Worcester /20 (Redditch) Voluntary Aid Detachments.
As the hospital closes this week, the last Sunday was chosen as the most suitable occasion
for the church parade. Suitable hymns were sung, and the Vicar preached an eloquent
sermon from the text, “I was a stranger, and ye took me in,” during which he traced the
splendid work done by the V.A.D.’s since the commencement of the war. The collection was
for the Hewell Nursing Association.
