Where the new offices are today, once stood
typical shops and just around the corner including
a motor garage selling Austin, and later BMC cars.
Just down on the right hand side, now sadly long
gone, were the Indicator Print works where for
many years the local newspaper was printed.
Residents tell stories of “blagging” waste paper
from the Indictor to use as drawing paper.
