               The Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch Messenger – Saturday 27  March

               Redditch Petty Sessions – Wednesday – Before Mr J. Morgan (in the chair), Mr W. H.
               Yeomans, Colonels H. S. Bartleet and C. F. Milward, Messrs. L. F. Lambert, F. C. Dolphin and J.
               Gloster.
               Theatrical Matters – Upon the application of Mr G. H. Wheeler, a license for the
               performance of stage plays at the Baptist Schoolroom, Astwood Bank, was granted for one
               month.

               The Bench approved a plan of alterations at the Palace Theatre –
               March 1915
               Subject to the new erection being painted with asbestos paint and to no scenery being
               stacked so as to block the door leading from the stage. – On the application of the mother,
               Mrs Whillock, Oakley Road, Redditch, a license was granted for a child named Muriel

               Whillock to appear at the Palace Theatre from March 27  to April 3 .

               Bartleet, and Mr W. D. Hollington
               Theatre License – Mr L. Crow was granted renewal of the theatre and
               cinematograph license of the Palace Theatre for twelve months. – July
               1915

               A complaint was made by Superintendent Davis of loose chairs being left in the gangway.
               This was dangerous.  If he had to prosecute and there was a conviction he should object to
               the renewal of the license. – Mr Crow promised the loose chairs should not be placed in the
               theatre.
