Redditch Industries – Redditch, Friday – The result of the outbreak of the war has
been to cause a temporary dislocation in the needle fishing tackle, and cycle industries, these
being largely dependent upon business done with the Continent. No definite arrangements
have yet been made as to the future but reports are current that the principal firms have
decided to put all their employees on half-time, so as to minimise, by an even distribution,
the ill effects resultant upon the war.
