Wounded Webheath Soldier – A Webheath soldier, son of Mr and Mrs Harris, of
Webheath, is in hospital at Manchester, suffering from wounds in the leg. On Thursday in
last week the case was considered serious, and Harris’s mother was sent for the doctors
fearing that amputation of the leg would be necessary. Fortunately for Harris this has not
proved to be the case, and he is progressing favourably.
