Private J. Leslie Stanley, Other Road, Redditch, who has been serving with the 3
Worcestershire Regiment, has been wounded and is in hospital at Bournbrook. On one
occasion his life was saved through a bullet deflected by a tin box in his pocket.
News has been received that Sergeant Frank Candy, Worcestershire Regiment, formerly of
Beaufort Street, Redditch has been wounded in France and is in hospital at Cambridge.
Driver W. R. Pearce, Royal Field Artillery, formerly of Redditch, Is in hospital in France, having
been injured while attending to his horse.
