More Munitions Wanted – Driver Wallace R. Pearce, the Redditch and Worcester City
footballer, writes saying he is in the thick of the fray in France. The chaplain told them that
every battery in their division had been in action and had done splendid work, and added
that several high officials had expressed their surprise at the praise-worthy manner in which
the Territorial Artillery had acquitted themselves. England was bound to come out top, but
more ammunition must be sent and the sooner men at home realised that the better it
would be.
