               A Patriotic Redditch Family – Mr and Mrs Bennett, 30 Grove Street, Redditch, have
               sent five sons out of six to the Army.  The sixth has attested and is working on munitions.  A

               grandson is also serving.   Sergt. W. Bennett, 13  Worcesters, joined up at the outbreak of
                                                                              nd
               war.  Albert Bennett was discharged as unfit.  Sergt. J. Bennett, 2  East Lancashire
               Regiment, at the front.  He has served for twelve years in the Army in India and re-enlisted

               there when hostilities commenced.  Corporal H. Bennett, 1/5  Royal Warwickshire Regiment.
               Pte. H. Bennett, Worcesters, was killed at Ypres after the retreat from Mons.  Pte. H.
               Bennett, R.F.A., is the son of Sergt. W. Bennett.  He has been wounded, and is in Manchester
               Hospital.

               (On the 1901 census Harry lived with his parents James and Fanny at 53 Hewell Road, Redditch and he was
               aged 9.)

               killed in action 4  August 1916, France and Flanders.  Only son of John Rogers and Bertha
               Sage of Chiltern House, 2/4 Bates Hill, Redditch.
