               Western European Theatre.)
               Remembered on St John the Baptist war memorial, Feckenham.
               (On the 1911 census Ernest, aged 28, lived with his wife Catherine and they were boarding at 6 St George’s
               Road, Redditch.)

               The Coventry Evening Telegraph – Monday 17  September 1917













               Salvation Army, Heroes of the War – Songster-Leader Duggins, a Redditch
               Salvationist, who some time since was mentioned for bravery to Sir Douglas Haig’s list of
               awards, has now received a second honour.  He has been given the Military Medal for what
               is officially described as a “very gallant act.”
