               Missing – Private C. Freeman, No 37861, of the Gloucestershire Regt. (attached to the
               Worcesters) has been missing since the fighting of 8 May this year.  He is a son of Mrs
               Freeman, of 5 Marsden Road, Redditch, who would be pleased to receive news of him from
               any comrade or member of his regiment.

               Gloucestershire Regiment, enlisted in Worcester, killed in action, 8  May 1917, Western
               European Theatre.  Formerly 22706, Worcestershire Regiment.  Remembered on The Arras
               Memorial at Fauborg D-Amiens Cemetery, Arras, France.  Mother Mrs E. Freeman of 5
               Marsden Road, Redditch, aged 21.)
               Remembered on St Stephen’s war memorial, Redditch.
               (On the 1911 census Charles Freeman aged 15, worked in cycle works, lived with his parents Benjamin and
               Elizabeth Freeman and siblings.  They lived at 5 Marsden Road, Redditch.)
