Redditch and District Casualties - Private Richard John Thurston, son of Mrs
Thurston, 23 Oswald Street, Redditch, of the Somerset Light Infantry, died from wounds
received in action in France on 6 October. He was 19 years of age and a native of Redditch.

Remembered on St Stephen’s war memorial, Redditch.
Information has been received by Mrs Beacham, Ipsley Mount, Redditch, that her son
Lieutenant Cecil J. Beacham , of the Worcestershire Regiment, fell in action on 9 October.
Remembered on St George’s war memorial, Redditch.
News has been received at Studley of the death from wounds of Private Albert Harris. . He
leaves a widow and two children, and was well known in Studley.
