Remembered on St Stephen’s. St Stephen’s Church and St George’s war memorials, Redditch.
On Ancestry site Probate records it stated that James Ellins of 48 Marsden Road, Redditch, died at Amiens,
France and his widow was Ellen Elizabeth Annie Ellins. On 1911 census James Ellins aged 23, Warehouseman,
lived with his parents Mathew and Mary Ellins and siblings at 48 Marsden Road, Redditch.

Astwood Bank Man Killed – Official information has been received by Mr and Mrs
Redding, of Butler Street, Astwood Bank, that their third son, Pte. Frank Redding, aged 22 of

the Worcestershire Regiment, was killed in action by a machine-gun on June 15 , when
taking part in a counter attack.
