The Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch Messenger – Saturday 22
               February 1919

The Volunteers – On Saturday night a dinner and social gathering was held at the Drill
Hall, Easemore Road, when the members of the Redditch (“A” Company) team who won the
battalion inter-company competition held a few weeks ago, received their prizes. There was
a large attendance. Captain Grant (King’s Norton) stated that of the 142 members of the
King’s Norton Territorial Company who answered the call of their country in August, 1914,
only seven were now left. The prizes were distributed by Colonel Sir Herbert Austin.
