               Buried Epehy Wood Farm Cemetery, France, aged 19, son of Jesse Palmer and husband of
               Mary E. Palmer of 139, Other Road, Redditch.)
               Remembered on St Stephen’s war memorial, Redditch.
               (On the 1911 census Sydney, aged 13, lived with his parents Jesse and Mary Elizabeth Palmer, at 201 Mount
               Pleasant, Redditch.)

               Redditch War Memorial – At a meeting held at Redditch, on Thursday night, Mr A. C.
               Millward, chairman of the Redditch Urban District Council, presiding, it was decided that the
               local war memorial should be in the form of a large hall which could be used for meetings of
               men returned from the Services, local trade unions, and the general public.  The Urban
               District Council were requested to appoint a representative committee for the purpose of
               formulating the scheme.
