August 1917, West European Theatre, aged 22. He was formerly (16309) Worcestershire
Regiment. He was awarded the British War Medal and Victory Medal.

(Caleb John Hawkes was baptised 8 June 1895 in West Kensington St Andrew, Hammersmith and Fulham. His
parents were Caleb John Hawkes and Ann Elizabeth Hawkes. On 1911 census Henry Hawkes was aged 23 and
his brother Caleb John was 15 and they lived with their parents Caleb John and Ann Elizabeth Hawkes and
siblings at 20 Birchfield Road, Headless Cross, Redditch. Both brothers died in 1917. Caleb John Hawkes
married Daisy G. Lawrence in 1916 in the Bromsgrove District.)
