The Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch Messenger – Saturday 3

Crabbs Cross Brothers Die From Wounds – Mr and Mrs Hawkes, who live at Crabbs Cross,
have received official notification that two sons have died in hospital from the result of
wounds received at the front. The younger of the two, Private Henry Hawkes, died on

August 30 , 1917, and the other son, who was 30 years of age, passed away on October
th
15 . Letters from the nurse and chaplain, expressing sympathy with the parents and family
have been received.
