The Trail Ends

We hope you have enjoyed this walk around Redditch Town Centre and it has showed
you there is much more to the town than the “New Town” tag suggests.
Perhaps you would like to re-trace your steps, find a nice cafe and have a cup of tea
and reflect on how much history you have seen in this “New Town”.
Have a safe journey home.

1970s

The aerial photograph above shows the old and the new. The new Kingfisher Shopping
Centre under development (centre) whilst the old shopping centre of Evesham Street
is next door (mid top to bottom right). The old railway station has gone (to the left
of the Kingfisher development) and the new “Transport Interchange” - a bus station
to you and me - is about to replace it.
