Evesham Street/Front Hill
You are now at the Southern end of Evesham
Street which was known locally as “Front Hill”. As
you look towards Primark you are looking at where
Park Road joined Front Hill and the infamous
“Smokey Joe’s” cafe.
Turn to your left and you are now looking down
the old George Street where the Art Deco Hungry
Man pub, with its revolving doors, once stood.
