The HISTORY of REDDITCH New Town
A temporary traffic island had to be built where Beoley Road crossed the new highway
until an alternative District Distributor road was constructed.
When setting out the line for the Coventry Highway (working title Ravensmere Highway)
during 1968 it was impossible to walk from Gorcot Hill towards the town centre due to
boggy ground.
