Redditch owes its existence to Religion. The Cistercian monks who founded Bordesley
Abbey set the seed for the Redditch we know today.
Over the intervening years, many religions and religious buildings have come and gone
in the town.
The building of the New Town hastened the demise of some and helped the formation of
others. This document is a summary of faith in Redditch over the years.
