William Webb
Baker & Confectioner
William Webb was born in 1841 in Redditch, the
second son of William and Susannah Webb who ran
a Bakers and Confectioner shop in Evesham Street.
He was a partner with his father and they were called
William Webb and Son, Bakers and Confectioners.
William died in 1887 when he committed suicide by
shooting himself.

Life and Times of William Webb
William Webb was born in Redditch, the second son of William and Susannah Webb who
ran a Bakers and Confectioner shop in Evesham Street. In the 1873 Littlebury’s Directory
of Worcestershire William was classed as a Wine Agent but he was also a partner with
his father and they were called William Webb and Son, Bakers and Confectioners.
He married Sarah Hollington in 1880 who was a cousin to Frederick William Hollington a
draper in Evesham Street. William and Sarah had 5 children.
