Thomas Haines 1843 - 1914

Thomas Haines was born in 1843 in Tardebigge to
parents Thomas Haines and Susannah nee
Hollington. He was married to Caroline and they had
four children.
He was a Tailor and Clothier at 38 and 40 Evesham
Street. When he died 15th January 1914 he was
living at ‘The Limes’ Worcester Road, Redditch. At
this time he had been the oldest member of the
Redditch Urban District Council. He was known as a
public speaker and had been Chairman of the
Redditch Building Society for 34 years.
