               A Redditch Opinion – At a Redditch meeting on national service Colonel C. F. Milward,
               J. P., said that many of the men in Redditch and district could not sign the form that was
               being distributed.  They were in reserved occupations, and if they signed it would be
               tantamount to saying they were prepared for military service.

               It seemed to him that Mr Chamberlain must show his hand before anything could be done.  It
               was decided to ask for definite information respecting businesses before taking any steps in
               the scheme.
