The Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch Messenger – Saturday 24 February

Messrs. H. Terry and Sons, Ltd., and Partners, Redditch, have subscribed
£69,250 to the War Loan (£34,000 new).
War Loan Contribution – It was estimated that the local subscriptions to the various War
Loan and war Savings associations was about half a million sterling. It is now officially
ascertained that the amount was £502,247. The amount of business done by the banks
totalled £472,277, and by the Post Office £29,970. About half of the total amount was new
money for the new War Loan.
