Welcome to Returned Soldiers – Returned soldiers received a hearty welcome at a
gathering held in connection with the B.S.A. Works, Lodge Road, on Saturday. A capital
programme of sports was carried out in a field adjoining the works. Music was supplied by
Mr H. N. Bates’ Military Band. The prizes were distributed by Mr Albert Eadie, one of the
directors of the B.S.A. company, Ltd. In the evening a dinner was held in the works canteen.
General Sir Cape Holden, a director of the firm, presided, and in the course of the
proceedings unveiled a roll of honour. Complimentary speeches were made, several toasts
were drunk, and a capital music programme was rendered, the proceedings throughout
               being very enjoyable and successful.

                                                                                           nd
