The Bromsgrove, Droitwich and Redditch Messenger – Saturday 20

Welcome Home – A dinner and concert arranged by the workers of Messrs. Herbert
Terry and Sons, Ltd., Novelty Works, was held at the mess room of the works, Ipsley Street,
on Saturday night, to welcome home returned soldiers and sailors employed at the works,
ladies were also invited. There was a good attendance. Mr W. Freeman presided, and
welcomed the guests, and Mr A. V. Terry (director) and Mr A. E. Wheeler (secretary)
responded.

Theatre. Buried Rocquigny Communal Cemetery, France.
Remembered on St Stephen’s war memorial, Redditch.
(On the 1911 census John aged 13, Printing Bronzer, lived with his parents, Harry and Jane Chambers, in Green
Lane, Studley.)
