years and she met her husband when they were both
serving in the Royal Navy.

The Wilson family have been running fairs in -
Redditch town since the 1920s. The Wilsons had a
legal covenant drawn up in 1962 which stated the An early Pictire of a Wilson's Fair
council would allow them access to the town centre (Source: Tom Bough)
for 1 week every September. The agreement was
made when the then Wilson Brothers' Royal Yard
winter quarters were acquired for redevelopment.
After disputes with the RDC for the last seven years
the Fair was back in the centre of Redditch in
September this year (2015). The Wilsons have given
thousands of pounds to Redditch charities over the
years.
