Cllr. Anita Clayton

Redditch Mayor in 2011

Anita Clayton is a Conservative councillor for the
Batchley and Brockhill Ward. She has lived in the
town for many years and is a school governor.
She is chairman of the Disabled Action Group.

Roy Clews

Author

Redditch’s well-known author was born in 1937;
used a female pseudonym of Sara Fraser when he
started writing in the 1970s about Victorian
Redditch. . One of his main characters in a series of
books was Tildy in the exploited 1820s nail making
community of Bromsgrove. Another character in a
series of books is Tom Potts a police constable in
1820s Redditch. He is still writing but mainly for the
American market now and lives in Wales.
