               A number of soldiers from Redditch and District wounded – A number of
               soldiers from Redditch and district are reported as having recently been wounded.  Among
               the names are the following:-
               Corporal W. H. Keeling, of the Army Service Corps, Mechanical Transport, son of Mr and Mrs
               Keeling, Rowney Green, Alvechurch;

               Private J. W. Crooke, of the 1  Worcesters, formerly of Hewell Road, Redditch; Private Frank
                             st
               Danks of the 1  Worcesters, formerly of Lodge Road, Redditch;
               Private J. Adams, of the Worcesters, whose home is at Britten Street, Redditch;
                                  rd
               Private G. Harris, 3  Worcesters, a native of Astwood Bank, whose wife lives at Britten
               Street, Redditch;
               Private Albert Mogg, of the Worcesters, formerly of Crabbs Cross.  Private Mogg had a
               narrow escape from death.  During the heavy fighting at Neuve Chapelle a bullet passed
               through his neck.
               Another wounded soldier, Private A. Smith, of the Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry, whose
               home is at Alvechurch, has been discharged from the army as unfit for further service.
