Home Hut – On Sunday night a crowded public meeting was held at the Palace theatre to
celebrate the opening of the home hut in Evesham Street. The hut has been provided for the
use of discharged and demobilised soldiers and sailors and any others who may be in the
town or passing through. It is conveniently arranged, and will supply a long felt want. The
meeting was presided over by Mr A. Gregory, and addresses were given by Miss Henty and
Miss Beatrice Hankey, the latter giving interesting items from her experiences in various
home camps.
