               Birmingham Gazette – Thursday 26  September 1918































               A Redditch Hero  - Private Harry Boughson of Mr and Mrs Edward Bough, Foregate-
               street, Astwood Bank, Redditch, has been awarded the Military Medal.  The following
               appeared in Orders of the Day:
               Pte H. Bough, while acting as company runner, is awarded the M.M. for devotion to duty and
               conspicuous bravery between 21 and 25 August.  Bough, who is aged 19, was formerly a
               clerk at the Redditch Gas Works.  He joined the Army in February, 1916, and was in France in
               1917.  Two other brothers are serving with the Forces, one in France and the other in India.
