LAZERLINK (Business Development Division)

Lazerlink is a laser printing bureau service with the skills to develop and
manipulate marketing databases to produce high- quality personalised letters

for mail shots and advertising campaigns.

Companies can either provide a mailing list for Lazerlink or use Lazerlink's in-
house expertise to develop a marketing database. In both cases, the

information can be sorted, post coded and checked for duplication by
Lazerlink's software, and standard text letters printed with a high degree of
personalisation.

A bank of Xerox 9700 laser printers allow over 30 million personalised letters
or documents to be printed a year. Runs from 5,000 to one million are available.

Database Marketing

Database marketing involves the compilation of current and/or prospective

customers' addresses on computer, (often with accompanying marketing data),
the processing and management of this data to produce mailing lists, the
printing of high-quality personalised direct mail and the analysis of returns.

The ability to sort lists accurately by demographic or postcode groupings
produces effective malings with pinpoint accuracy and subsequent cost savings.

Lazar Printing

Laser printers offer one of the fastest and most economical methods of

producing high-quality personalised mailings. They are ideal for print runs
from 5,000 to more than one million pages,

An extensive range of fonts and styles, together with the facility to digitise
client's own logs and signatures, guarantee typewrier-quality personalised
mailings. Laser minting is an integral part of ISTEL's database marketing ser-

vice.

MANDATE (Engineering & Manufacturing Division.)

MANDATE is the name given to ISTEL's range of software packages covering
manufacturing management and shop floor data collection:unctions.

It currently comprise three software pro- ducts run on DEC WK computers:
